Identity solutions and services provider MorphoTrust USA (Safran) has announced today that it has added agencies across three different states to the list of those serviced by its IdentoGO Centers for fingerprint based background check and enrollment services. The newly won contracts will see MorphoTrust servicing the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, the New Jersey Department of Public Safety, Division of State Police and the Nevada Department of Public Safety for the next five to six years (depending on which contract) to the expected tune of $25.2 million in revenue.
Bob Eckel, CEO of MorphoTrust, explains: “These awards recognize MorphoTrust’s leadership as an enrollment services provider, specifically with regard to the secure capture and transmission of fingerprints to support many state and federal programs and commercial businesses. Identity verification – ensuring individuals are who they claim to be – has never been more important, especially when it comes to taking care of our children and accessing our healthcare and public safety systems.”
For the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, MorphoTrust will be aiding the agency comply with recent legislation that requires fingerprint based background checks for caregivers and potential parents hoping to adopt or enter into a foster program. The contract seems focussed on the safety of the state’s children, with the 245,000 individuals set to be vetted at one of the state’s 33 enrollment centres all looking to work with or around young Massachusetts citizens. Public and private school workers will be subject to the background checks including employees, volunteers, subcontractors and laborers.
In Nevada, MorphoTrust will be aiding in civilian enrollment for a period of four years that can be renewed for two additional periods, each a year in duration. Anyone seeking employment, volunteer opportunities or specialized licensing will be submitting their fingerprints to the company for a check. With a goal to enroll 60,000 applicants per year and the possibility of the contract lasting for a full six years, MorphoTrust predicts to bring in about $700,000 by the time the full term is up.
Finally, working with the New Jersey Division of State Police, the Safran company is projecting $15.4 million if it completes the full five year term (three years potentially followed by two additional one year periods). Enrolling between 340,000 and 400,000 applicants per year of contract. Again, hoping to keep the children safe, the enrollment in New Jersey will be checking out foster and adoptive parents in addition to licensing, employment and firearms applications, among other things.
MorphoTrust has been in the news recently having minted new contracts with the TSA, providing similar services to workers and staff of seven Hawaiian airports last week and earlier in January netting a contract for the Administration’s Pre✓program. With these new deals signed, MorphoTrust is not just making air travel safer and more convenient, but homes, schools and city streets as well.
