Identity services provider MorphoTrust USA (Safran) has been aggressively supporting the Transportation Security Administration’s Universal Enrollment Services (UES). Today, the company announced that it has completed the transfer of the TSA’s Hazardous Materials Endorsement Threat Assessment Program (HTAP) over to UES, making enrollment in the standard more accessible and efficient.
The HTAP enrollment procedure involves a security threat assesment for individuals seeking to obtain, renew or transfer a Hazzardous Materials Endorsement on a commercial drivers license. Now that MorphoTrust has completed the transfer of HTAP to UES, applicants can pre-enroll at the company’s IdentoGO Centers.
The process of enrolling for HME involves the applicant providing biographical ID documents, immigration documents and her fingerprints. Because it is part of the UES platform, workers requiring other threat assessment certifications can enroll at the same center. MorphoTrust’s IdentoGO Centers also offer TSA Pre✓ and Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) screening.
MorphoTrust CEO Bob Eckel comments, “MorphoTrust has been working aggressively to support the transition of these programs into UES and we anticipate that the completion of the HTAP transition will improve the enrollment process across TSA programs as well as enhance customer convenience with the added centers. It will benefit many transportation workers, particularly those who work in maritime areas and require both a TWIC card and an HME endorsement on their commercial driver license. With over 1.7M HME enrollments to date, we look forward to supporting the growth of this program.”
Recently, MorphoTrust also announced that it opened six new enrollment centers across the United States in support of the TSA’s Pre✓ advanced passenger screening process.
