MorphoTrust USA (Safran) has announced several new additions to its roster of airports at which travelers can enroll in the TSA Pre✓ biometric security screening program. The new additions include Miami International Airport (MIA), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Spokane International Airport (GEG), and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
In addition to the enrollment stations in airports themselves, the company has also established a number of off-site IdentoGO enrolment locations, and has just added 28 more in addition to the on-site locations listed above. Moreover, late last year the company began a clever new program of setting up enrollment centers in any corporate offices interested in partnering to get their employees signed up.
Enrollment itself involves the verification of biographical information and identity documents, and also the scanning of travelers fingerprints, which are shared with the TSA. Once enrolled, the traveler is able to use biometric screening kiosks at participating air terminals, allowing for a faster and more convenient security screening process.
In a press release the company notes that over 800 000 travelers have signed up so far, and MorphoTrust VP Charles Carroll commented that the program’s “momentum shows that passengers really value the convenience and improved travel experience that comes with signing up.”
