MorphoBIS Brings Biometric Law Enforcement to Sarasota County

Sarasota County’s Sheriff’s Office processes approximately 15 thousand fingerprints annually in its never ending war on crime. It’s a demanding workload, to say the least. Fortunately, some heavy reinforcement came riding into town in the form of MorphoTrak (Safran)’s Morpho Biometric Identification Solution (MorphoBIS). Costing the Sheriff’s Office a reported $1.2 million, the fingerprint biometric verification system is expected to aid in identifying even more offenders, keeping the streets safe.
