“The program could offer a game-changing opportunities for its participants.”
Ahead of this year’s Money20/20 event in Las Vegas, organizers have now announced a new empowerment program aimed at bridging at least some of the gap in the representation of women in the tech industry.
Called “Rise Up“, the program is designed to connect up-and-coming women within the financial services or FinTech spaces with well-established mentor figures. It’s being organized by an all-woman advisory board including Citi Ventures SVP Victoria Cheng, Accenture Managing Director Paula O’Reilly, and PayPal EVP Louise Pentland, among others; and will ultimately see 30 successful applicants take part in bespoke content sessions, exclusive networking events, and one-on-one mentoring sessions.
The program could offer a game-changing opportunities for its participants. Money20/20 is one of the biggest industry events in the world of financial services, payments, and FinTech, showcasing innovation and cutting-edge technologies like mobile payments and biometric authentication systems. This year’s event is expected to attract over 2,600 C-suite executives, more than 11,500 attendees, and big-name speakers including PayPal COO Bill Ready, Mastercard President Craig Vosburg, identity influencer Bianca Lopes, and FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill.
Applications for the Rise Up program are open until August 31st, and is open to anyone who has more than two years’ experience in the financial services or FinTech sectors.
