IDEX Biometrics has long been a major name in the fingerprint sensor market, and in recent years has focused intensely on refining its technology for the emerging biometric payment cards market in particular. So it’s no surprise to see the company in attendance at this year’s Money20/20 Europe event in Amsterdam, where FindBiometrics Director of Digital Content Susan Stover caught up with IDEX’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, David Orme.
Orme kicked off the show floor interview with a brief discussion of IDEX’s Edenred pilot program in Mexico, a collaboration with Mastercard that marks the company’s entry into the financial inclusion space. Orme also went on to discuss a recent “landmark customer deal” established with “a leading financial services provider”, gesturing to the company’s ongoing activities outside of the payment cards space; and he went on to talk about IDEX’s growth, some major new appointments, and its plans for the near future.
