Suprema has announced a regional subsidiary dedicated to the Middle Eastern market. Suprema Middle East FZCO’s offices will be located in the Dubai Airport Free Zone, and it will be headed by Mohamed El Shenawy, who has been appointed Regional Sales Director.
In a statement announcing the new organization, Suprema explained that it has been “observing increasing demand for electronic access control combining trending technologies including biometrics, mobile credential and open-platform for integration adaptability” in the market. Further elaborating on the company’s aims in the region, Suprema Director of Global Business S.Y. Lee said that while the company will retain a focus on the biometric time and attendance market, it will also “aim to penetrate large scale access control” by promoting CoreStation, a centralized biometric access control system that can support up to half a million users.
Lee added that the United Arab Emirates has become one of six “strategic regions” for the company, joining the UK, Germany, Canada, France, and Brazil.
Suprema will likely highlight its new Dubai offices to attendees of next week’s Intersec 2018 exhibition, which will take place in the city from January 21st to 23rd. The company says it will showcase CoreStation and other biometric solutions at the event.
