Remote onboarding and digital identity specialist Facephi is celebrating its 10th anniversary after another historic and record-breaking year for the Spain-based company.
Founded in 2012 by a group of engineers and mathematicians looking to build the future of digital identity verification using biometrics, Facephi began building its offerings out in Spain and Latin America, before expanding to the APAC market following the opening of its offices there in 2019.
Earlier this year, the company also established a new office in London to help promote its growth in the EMEA region.
In October, Facephi disclosed its Q3 revenue, showing a dramatic 89.4 percent year-over-year increase. That amounted to €7.86 million for the quarter.
At the time, CEO Javier Mira commented that “Facephi’s firm commitment to internationalisation has been reflected in an increase in spending, estimated at 67.9%, aimed at expanding the commercialisation of its digital identity verification solutions, an effort that has been supported by the large increase in turnover.”
2022 also saw Facephi unveil a new logo and slogan — “Protecting identity to build the future” — to mark a fiscal year that turned out to be its most successful yet.
