The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has announced a strategic partnership with Australian verification solutions provider IDVerse to combat the growing threat of digital deepfake deception in customer onboarding processes. This collaboration comes as LSEG continues to expand its digital identity capabilities, following its recent launch of AI-driven verification solutions earlier this year.
The collaboration aims to enhance LSEG’s existing digital identity and fraud solutions by incorporating IDVerse’s fully automated Zero Bias AI technology. This advanced system uses regenerative AI to combat fraud while eliminating discrimination based on race, age, and gender during the verification process. IDVerse, which recently made its technology available on the AWS Marketplace, has demonstrated impressive accuracy rates, with its Face Access system achieving 99.998 percent accuracy in customer authentication.
According to IDVerse CEO John Myers, the urgency of this partnership is highlighted by current fraud trends, with one in four fraud attempts now involving digital deception. “London Stock Exchange Group is built on a heritage of trust and integrity and we at IDVerse are extremely proud to become a critical infrastructure element in their identity stack,” Myers stated.
Daniel Flowe, Head of Digital Identity at LSEG, emphasized the comprehensive testing process that preceded the partnership: “To give our customers confidence, we extensively tested IDVerse’s interoperability, performance, and agility to ensure that it matched our existing best-in-class standards. This combination gives us a truly next generation workflow to bring to market.”
The partnership is particularly significant for the financial sector, where robust identity verification is essential for regulatory compliance and fraud prevention. The solution will enable businesses to scale their global coverage while maintaining high security standards, helping them navigate risks, avoid reputational damage, and ensure regulatory compliance across different jurisdictions. This development is especially timely as financial institutions face increasing challenges from sophisticated deepfake attacks and other forms of synthetic media manipulation.
The integration of IDVerse’s technology into LSEG’s platform promises to improve both the speed and reliability of identity checks, providing businesses with advanced verification tools while maintaining a smooth customer experience. IDVerse has already demonstrated success in this area through its implementation with UK-based Hastings Direct Loans, where its technology has been effectively securing identity verification processes.
