UAE legal technology platform Legaline has integrated iDenfy’s identity verification and anti-money laundering tools into client onboarding and its transaction-closing service.
The integration brings document verification, sanctions screening and watchlist checks into the same workflow that Legaline uses to connect clients with lawyers. It is intended to establish the identity of participants before legal work and payments proceed.
Legaline also operates a service called Safe Deal, which holds funds while the parties complete a transaction. Funds are released after a closing act is signed, making verified participant records part of the platform’s control structure for higher-trust transactions.
iDenfy says its document system supports more than 16,000 identity document types from over 200 countries and territories. The platform checks submitted documents and screens customers against sanctions and other risk databases during onboarding.
Lawyers using Legaline follow a separate validation process. The company checks their professional status against UAE licensing records and uses Stripe-based business verification for relevant organizational details.
The agreement extends iDenfy’s presence in regulated onboarding beyond financial and cryptocurrency services. Previous deployments have combined its KYC and AML tools for digital wealth companies, including an integration with Okazio ahead of MiCA requirements.
iDenfy has also expanded the authoritative data sources available to its verification workflows. Its AAMVA driver license integration checks document data against participating US motor vehicle records, supplementing visual document analysis with issuer-backed confirmation.
The identity layer supports a model in which legal services, client onboarding and transaction settlement take place remotely. Combining identity verification with AML screening reduces the need for staff to move information between separate tools and provides a consistent record of checks performed before a matter begins.
The integration also gives Legaline a single onboarding record that can support later reviews of client identity and screening results. That audit trail is relevant when a remote legal matter involves regulated payments or parties in multiple jurisdictions.
