“…Laxton placed a strong emphasis on the government applications of its solutions, including registration for biometric civil ID, voter registration, and applications in border control and law enforcement.”
Laxton has announced a new lineup of multimodal biometric products, which it plans to unveil at next week’s Trustech 2018 event in Cannes.
Devices in the new ‘Chameleon’ lineup include handhelds, tablets, and desktop products. Their multimodal support encompasses single, two-finger, and 442 slap fingerprint readers, as well as iris, facial, and voice recognition. The lineup also includes NFC and RFID card readers, a PDF barcode scanner, digital signature support, and multiple connectivity options including WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G and 4G cellular.
In a statement announcing the new product line, Laxton placed a strong emphasis on the government applications of its solutions, including registration for biometric civil ID, voter registration, and applications in border control and law enforcement. But the firm also noted that it offers applications in “banking and financial services, insurance, healthcare, transport & logistics, retail, telecoms, education and student enrollment.”
Laxton will be showcasing the new solutions from its booth at K 025 during Trustech 2018, which is scheduled to run from November 27th to 29th at the Palais des Festivals de Cannes. The company just announced its new European office this month, and is evidently keen to make a splash in the market with its appearance at this year’s Trustech event in France.
