“I am excited to join Laxton Group to bolster the global growth phase of the organisation. My role as Vice President: Europe will further expand the global footprint of Laxton Group, with the expansion of the European market under my remit, based out of Amsterdam.” – Nick Perkins, Vice President: Europe, Laxton
Identity solutions provider Laxton is opening a new office in Europe, and has appointed a new Vice President to lead it.
The executive in question is Nick Perkins, who comes to the company from previous roles with Bytes Systems Integration, where he received the bulk of his executive experience. There, he served as Managing Director of the Microsoft Division from 2002 to 2008, when he left to become Sales Director of FrontRange Solutions. In 2012, Perkins returned to Bytes Systems Integration as its Divisional Director, and he took the position of Divisional Managing Director of Identity Management in May of 2017, which he held until his departure in September.
In a statement announcing his appointment as Laxton’s European VP, the company highlighted his “wealth of experience in the Citizen Identity, Election and SelfService fields”. Laxton has a strong focus on identity solutions for elections, having announced a major deployment of biometric voter registration technology for Mozambique earlier this year.
Commenting on his appointment, Perkins said he will be helping “to bolster the global growth phase” of the company by expanding its activities in the European market. “I will also be working closely with the team at Laxton to enhance the solution portfolio for the Citizen Identity, Elections and SelfService markets, positioning end to end solution and implementation capabilities for the group,” he added.
Perkins’ new office is based in Amsterdam.
