Enterprise-focused app developer Kony is getting ready to launch a new digital banking solution that incorporates biometric authentication technology.
Called the Kony Digital Banking Platform, it’s designed to offer a comprehensive range of solutions for financial services organizations looking to upgrade their digital services. The platform will enable digital onboarding, eSignature services, contactless payment services, and a range of standard retail banking options for end users such as bill payments and money transfers. And it will support facial, fingerprint, and voice recognition for user authentication, according to a statement announcing the platform.
This last feature comes by way of Daon, which teamed up with Kony at the end of this summer. The Korea-based firm’s IdentityX biometric authentication platform has been embraced by a range of organizations, with the financial services sector having proven particularly enthusiastic given its applications for secure mobile banking.
Kony plans to demo its technology from its booth at next week’s Money20/20 event in Las Vegas – which should see a lot of buzz over biometric technology in general – and says it will roll out the solution starting in the spring of 2018.
