Keesing Integrates Mobai Face Verification Into Onboarding System

Keesing Technologies has teamed up with Mobai AS to deliver a more comprehensive remote onboarding solution. To that end, Keesing will be integrating Mobai’s Face Verification technology into its own AuthentiScan onboarding platform.

The result is a simple onboarding solution that can verify someone’s identity in either an in-person or online situation. To use it, individual end users are asked to take a selfie and a picture of a photo ID. Keesing’s document verification tech will confirm that the document is legitimate, comparing the new image to a reference database that includes identity documents from virtually every country.

Once that process is complete, Mobai’s facial recognition technology will compare the selfie to the image on that document to make sure that they are a match. Mobai’s solution comes with a Presentation Attack Detection Service (PAD) to prevent spoofing and mitigate the risk of fraud.

Future versions of AuthentiScan could also take advantage of Mobai’s Morphing Attack Service to help protect people’s personal information. Mobai suggested that the platform’s ease of use makes it ideal for anyone who struggles with passwords. Both companies suggested that the improved AuthentiScan can help meet the growing demand for contactless identity verification offerings. AuthentiScan itself is compliant with the latest Know Your Customer regulations.

Keesing first added facial recognition capabilities to the AuthentiScan portfolio back in 2019. The company was also one of several identity providers that offered free identity services to emergency responders in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
