The hospitality software provider Nuvola is integrating facial recognition technology from Kairos into its flagship guest management platform. The new tech will speed up the check-in and check-out process for customers, in addition to other interactions that require some form of identity verification.
“Our mission is to bring new technologies to the world of hospitality,” said Nuvola CEO Juan Carlos Abello. “Facial recognition software is a game changer. By introducing Kairos by Nuvola, our customers will be able to create a heightened level of personalized service and open up a new realm of service options.”
“We’re excited to see the hospitality industry leverage the benefits of facial recognition,” added Kairos Chief Operating Officer Mary Wolff.
The end-to-end Kairos by Nuvola solution will also improve venue security when combined with surveillance cameras. The goal is to streamline the guest experience and reduce the amount of friction that customers face while navigating various hospitality services.
The news comes shortly after Kairos’s deep learning API platform was listed on the RapidAPI marketplace, and indicates that Kairos is indeed finding new customers for its technology after a tumultuous 2018. The facial recognition specialist acquired the Irish startup EmotionReader in July of last year, but later became embroiled in a lawsuit with ousted CEO Brian Brackeen.
