Jumio is celebrating another industry plaudit: The company recently took a 2018 SC Award, winning in the category of “Best Authentication Technology”.
The award was in recognition of Jumio’s Netverify platform, which is designed to use facial recognition and document reading to verify the identities of end users, all through a standard smartphone or laptop camera. It’s a solution that would present obvious appeal to the judges affiliated with SC Awards organizer SC Magazine, a publication dedicated to cybersecurity news.
The 2018 SC Award is the latest in a series of accolades for Jumio, which won awards across three categories – bronze in Fraud Prevention, silver in Enterprise Mobile Threat Defense, and gold in Identity Management – in the recent Security Product Guide Global Excellence Awards. Those awards, too, came in the wake of triumphs in the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards and the Tech Trailblazers awards earlier this year.
Acknowledging this latest award in a statement, Jumio CEO Stephen Stuut said, “We are proud to be recognized as the top technology in authentication by the 2018 SC Awards.”
The SC Awards were presented at a gala event in San Francisco on April 17th, just ahead of Jumio’s announcement that its Q1 sales were up by over 400 percent year-over-year.
