Jumio has been named a winner in two categories of Cyber Defense Magazine’s Cyber Defense 2018 Global Awards, with judges recognizing the company in the area of “Best Product Biometrics” and as the “Next Gen InfoSec Startup of the Year”.
The company was, of course, recognized for its Netverify solution, which revolves around the use of facial recognition and document reading to confirm the identities of end users through a mobile device, laptop, or desktop computer. The solution has proven increasingly popular, with Jumio reporting a 269 percent sales jump in its Q2 update, and having recently announced the opening of a new AI research lab in Montreal to help keep the momentum going.
Commenting on Jumio’s award wins in a statement, Cyber Defense Magazine Publisher Gary S. Miliefsky said his organizations “spent six months searching the globe to find the most innovative and cutting edge cybersecurity companies for our Cyber Defense 2018 Global Awards,” adding, “Jumio won these awards Next Gen InfoSec Startup of the Year for Best Product Biometrics because it is an innovator on a mission to help stop breaches and get one step ahead of the next threat, proactively.”
These are just the latest in a string of industry awards for Jumio, with the company also having just announced that it won two Golden Bridge Awards for its Netverify platform. Those included a Bronze award in the category of “Security Solution for Enterprise (Large) Innovations”, and Gold in the area of “Access Compliance and Risk Management Innovations”.
