Jumio is looking to supercharge its sales efforts, announcing two senior appointments to that wing as it seeks to further boost the momentum gained during a very successful 2022.
The company has named former Trulioo president Jon Jones as its new Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. After heading Trulioo from 2015 to 2016, Jones went on to join Experian as SVP of Sales, Fraud & Identity, later moving to the position of SVP of Sales, Decision Analytics in 2018.
“The whole concept of reducing and removing identity theft and fraud has been with me throughout my career, which is why aligning with Jumio’s mission is so important,” Jones commented.
Meanwhile, Simon Winchester has been promoted to the role of Vice President of Global Account Management, having served in various enterprise-focused sales roles at Jumio since 2014. Most recently, Winchester was the VP of EMEA sales.
The news comes after a blockbuster year in which Jumio reported well over $200 million in bookings, thanks to continued growth in the demand for remote identity verification solutions, and Jumio’s efforts to establish a comprehensive solution to meet a variety of those kinds of needs in the market.
2022 also saw the company place a focus on bringing talent to the right positions. Jumio announced the appointment of Stuart Wells as its CTO last April, and followed that with the appointment of Susan Walker as its new CFO in May.
Now, the company has burnished its sales team, with CEO Robert Prigge expressing excitement about where the new appointments will take Jumio’s business. “Jumio’s global sales organization is the best in the business, and with Jon, Simon and our sales leaders at the helm, I have no doubt we will continue to do great things with the world’s leading innovators and disruptors,” he said.
