Fingerprint Cards’ Business Developer is leaving the company. Johan Carlström will make his official exit on October 15th.
In a statement announcing his departure, Carlström explained that entrepreneurial commitments beyond FPC “are becoming increasingly time consuming” such that it necessitates his departure from the company. “With the recruitment of Christian Fredrikson and the company’s strong market position, I now feel safe to leave the operational work,” he added.
Carlström will be paid a severance package of SEK 10.86 million, the equivalent of 36 months’ salary. He continues to be a major shareholder in the company, and says he intends to continue to support FPC in that role.
Meanwhile, FPC says its search for a new Business Developer “will begin shortly.” The role opens at a crucial time for FPC as the company seeks to expand beyond the mobile biometrics market that has been its mainstay.
