“After our Livetouch Quattro Compact fingerprint scanner was certified by the FBI as the smallest FAP 60 device with our innovative optical TFT technology, we are pleased that the BSI has also confirmed the high image quality of the new technology.” – Roberto Wolfer, CEO, Jenetric
An important new government certification adds further credibility to Jenetric‘s biometric technology. The company has announced that its Livetouch Quattro Compact fingerprint scanner has been certified by the German Federal Office for Information Security, or BSI.
As its name suggests, the Livetouch Quattro Compact is a compact version of Jenetric’s flagship Livetouch Quattro fingerprint reader. It’s based on optical TFT technology and can capture four fingerprints simultaneously; and it’s the smallest fingerprint scanner to have attained FBI FAP 60 certification.
Now, the solution has passed muster from Germany’s BSI, which assessed the Livetouch Quattro Compact solution against the TR-03121 technical standard for government applications.
Commenting on the development in a statement, Jenetric CEO Roberto Wolfer framed it in terms of his company’s goal of reaching “the highest image quality combined with simple operation of our fingerprint scanners even in outdoor use,” adding that in the wake of the FBI’s FAP 60 certification, “we are pleased that the BSI has also confirmed the high image quality of the new technology”.
