IT and Security Operations automation specialists Ivanti announced the release of updated service management, asset management, and automation capabilities, as well as new biometric authentication for its Ivanti Enterprise Service Management portfolio.
The update, which gives Ivanti’s customers real time visibility on actionable data, and aims to provide them with improved accuracy, speed, and efficiency of the services delivered, looks to take a proactive approach to service desk related issues, with the aim of resolve the majority of issues through the use of automation bots before users need to report them.
This is possible by leveraging the new Ivanti Neurons platform – which was launched just last month – the company’s new ‘hyper-automation’ solution that uses automation bots to help IT teams proactively detect and resolve security vulnerabilities
“Today’s users, whether working remote or in the office, expect a personal and immediate resolution for issues impacting their ability to remain productive,” said Nayaki Nayyar, Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer, Ivanti. “The combination of Ivanti Enterprise Service Management with Ivanti Neurons augments service desk analysts with automation bots that detect and resolve issues and security vulnerabilities proactively, predictably, and autonomously.”
The update also brings biometric authentication for Ivanti customers, as well as push notifications for mobile applications, an important tool today as the COVID-19 pandemic has lead to a dramatic increase in the number of people working and conducting personal business from home.
“With Ivanti, virtually every department in the University now has access to a dedicated staff knowledgebase…[that has] allowed us to move ahead very, very quickly and demonstrate the reasons why we wanted to track and manage remote devices without staff needing to be connected to a VPN,” said Naomi Lutvey, Director of Client Services for ICT Services within the Enterprise Services Division, University of Southern Queensland (USQ). “It’s configurable. I can’t emphasize that enough. There is no coding—it’s all configuration. And the flexibility which that has allowed us is enormous.”
