With this year’s ISC West security show about to get underway, organizers have unveiled their exciting lineup of special events, and there is a lot of ground to cover.
The SIA’s Annual Member Meeting, for example, will take place on the first day of the event, on the morning of April 9th. And the SIA will also hold is interoperability-focused InteropFest on April 10th, a RISE Happy Hour networking event for young professionals on the 11th, and a Women in Security Forum Breakfast on the 12th.
Beyond the SIA’s events, there will also be two major keynote sessions. April 10th will see DHS Science and Technology undersecretary William N. Bryan give a talk entitled “Delivering Results: How DHS and Industry Partnerships Drive Security Innovation”. The next day, Russ Butler, the VP of security for the San Francisco 49ers and Levi’s Stadium, will deliver a talk called “Stadium Security – As It Was, Where It Is and Where It Is Going” – which is sure to touch on the growing biometric trend in that particular field.
Other special events include the ISC West Customer Appreciation Party, the Mission 500 Security 5K Run/2K Walk, and Alegria La Fiesta Latina @ ISC West, all on April 11th. And before any of that, of course, there will be the ISC West Grand Opening Ceremony on April 10th. Meanwhile, multiple awards programs will be held between April 9th and 10th.
It’s all befitting for one of the most important security events in the world, as is the presence of FindBiometrics, which will be hosting an educational panel and reporting live from the show floor in Las Vegas through ISC West 2019. Stay tuned – our coverage is about to kick off!
