Yesterday at ISC West, Morpho (Safran) was granted the Best New Product Award at the Security Industry Association’s 2015 New Product Showcase (NPS). The best New Product Award is the Showcase’s top honor, and Morpho received it for its new MorphoWave fingerprint biometric solution.
Unveiled earlier this week at ICS West, MorphoWave is a high-speed biometric access solution that can capture and match four fingerprints from a waved hand – something that Morpho calls a market first. The solution is touchless and can read wet or dry fingerprints without sacrificing speed or accuracy. It has been designed for deployment in access control and time/attendance scenarios, can be used in standalone and temporary capacities, and is clearly ideal for high traffic security points. Authorized personnel moving through security protected by MorphoWave advance into the protected area without having to break their walking gate.
The Security Industry Association’s CEO, Don Erickson, says, “Each year, the companies competing in SIA’s New Product Showcase at ISC West present the leading-edge security solutions that are shaping the industry. These new technologies and solutions are the drivers that are moving the security industry forward, and I congratulate Safran Morpho on their win at this year’s NPS.”
In addition to its impressive speed, the MorphoWave features a customizable user interface, allowing for governments and commercial venues to easily integrate it into their security operations.
