Next week from September 29 to October 1 at the ASIS conference in Atlanta, Georgia, Iris ID (formerly LG Electronics, Iris Technology Division) will be demonstrating its IrisAccess biometric solutions. Today, in advance of this industry event, Iris ID has announced that the IrisAccess product line will be receiving a significant price reduction.
Iris ID will specifically be reducing the price of the iCAM7 series of products which feature a motor driven targeting aid and an auto-focus lens-enabled iris acquisition process which ensures rapid, high quality iris image capture for enrollment and recognition.
Iris ID CEO Charles Koo comments: “We’ve been working hard to streamline our manufacturing and other internal processes. Our efforts have paid off in the shape of dramatic cost reductions which we are now able to pass on to our clients.”
Koo goes on to call the price drop dramatic.
“Now widely accepted, we recognize tremendous growth in the market,” he says. “This is a key milestone for iris identification technology.”
According to Koo, the iCAM 7 series is designed for deployment in access control and time and attendance applications. Since cost is often referred to as a major adoption obstacle for enterprises in biometric adoption for these types of scenarios, a price reduction will go a long way in helping customers choose iris biometrics.
“Iris recognition provides unrivaled speed, accuracy, and value in today’s demanding biometric identification market,” concluded Koo. “We are committed to set the industry standard for iris recognition technology.”
The ASIS conference will be taking place at Georgia World Congress. Iris ID will be present at booth 845 on the exhibition floor demonstrating the IrisAccess product line.
Recently, Iris ID received Best Biometric Identification/Authentication Facility award from Global Security News for its iris biometrics solutions.
