Today, Iris ID Systems announced that it has received Lenel factory certification and, in turn, has joined the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP). The partnership will make Iris ID’s iCAM biometric solutions more accessible to customers thanks to the benefits offered through Lenel’s OnGuard access control system.
Because of the certification, the IrisAccess Import add-on service – IrisAccess EAC iAI – can now interface with the OnGuard platform. This streamlines cardholder data and transaction management, says Gidon Lissai, director of strategic alliances at Lenel. OnGuard users can now manage user data from across IrisAccess EAC through OnGuard.
“Lenel factory certification through the OAAP program further enhances the IRIS ID IrisAccess product line and provides large enterprise customers a path to deploy iris recognition technology through the OnGuard system,” explains Mohammed Murad, Iris ID’s vice president of sales and business development. “The interface to OnGuard access control includes the capability to enroll iris biometric data directly through OnGuard, encode smart cards with encrypted iris templates and now manage user data more efficiently utilizing the new connectivity.”
The IrisAccess iCAM 7 Series of biometric products have received global deployment. Featuring auto-focus iris acquisition, high quality image capture and auto-tilt targeting, Iris ID’s solutions are a contactless way of upgrading security while maintaining a high level of convenience.
Last week, as part of Physical Access Month, we explored iris recognition’s unique strengths in access control deployments. Iris ID has notably brought these modality-borne benefits to border control deployments in Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, and at Canada-US borders as part of the Nexus program.
