January 16, 2014 – by the findBIOMETRICS Team
As part of the findBIOMETRICS annual Year in Review survey, we don’t only ask experts to participate in our biometrics industry polls, we also provide everyone participating a chance to personally divulge their opinions on the year that was and preview what’s to come over the next twelve months.
Mohammed Murad, vice president of Iris ID Systems, was among our group of experts this year. The following is what Mohammed had to say about 2013 in review and what we can expect from Iris ID in the year to come.
findBIOMETRICS: Was 2013 a good year for your company? What were some of the highlights?
Mohammed Murad: 2013 was a significant year for our organization as we continued to provide support for major projects in the national ID space. We are providing our technology and services to NEC for India UIDAI program which is now reporting enrollment at 450 million people. We have also made great progress in providing our technology in commercial security to some of very well known entities. On the technology side we have made considerable progress and we shipped the new Iris ID series of devices, “iris at a distance“, that has allowed access to new market segments in border crossing and immigration.
findBIOMETRICS: What will 2014 hold for Iris ID?
Mohammed Murad: The Iris ID team is very excited about the prospects for 2014. We are in expansion mode with new products and solutions. We believe that there are many new projects in the pipeline and we will be showing off some of our new technologies in the coming year.
