Iris ID is celebrating its big award win at last week’s ISC West exhibition in Las Vegas.

Iris ID Celebrates SIA Award Win — Iris ID is a leader in biometric iris recognition. FindBiometrics interviewed Mohammed Murad, Vice President, Iris ID about the company’s iCAM M300 solution, which was named the “Best Mobile App” in the SIA New Product Showcase.

The company’s iCAM M300 solution won in the mobile app category of SIA’s New Product Showcase. It’s an Android-based solution revolving around facial and iris recognition, and it supports an optional snap-on module enabling contact-based and contactless smart card reading, ePassport reading, and FBI-compliant fingerprint scanning via a 500DPI sensor. The device also supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC communications.

Iris ID VP Mohammed Murad was understandably keen to highlight the New Product Showcase win in his interview with FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill on the show floor during last week’s event. Commenting further in a statement acknowledging the award, Murad said, “We’re honored the iCAM M300 was recognized by the panel of judges in the New Product Showcase.”

Meanwhile, another Iris ID iCAM solution was recently in the spotlight as well, with the company having announced earlier this month that its iCAM R100 camera was integrated into a new time and attendance tracking punch clock from SimplyWork.
