Identity as a Service (IDaaS) provider Ipsidy Inc. has announced it will be realigning its corporate structure to better position it to achieve customer acquisition goals in the future.
One of the moves made will involve Phillip Kumnick — a recent addition to the Ipsidy Board — assuming a new position as Deputy Chairman of the Board. Kumnick has 30 years of experience in senior executive positions in the payments industry, including a recent role in managing Visa’s development of tokenization and encryption products and services.
“Since my appointment to the Ipsidy Board, I have been working closely with the Ipsidy leadership team and believe that the Company’s IDaaS platform has tremendous potential for delivering innovative identity solutions which are so desperately needed in today’s digital world,” Kumnick said. “The changes announced today I believe will help Ipsidy realize that potential and I very much look forward to working with Philip and the Ipsidy leadership team to help them execute their plan.”
In other moves, Tom Szoke will be assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer and will be in charge of operations, sales and business development, and Chris White — who joined Ipsidy in 2018 — is now the Chief Technical Officer, responsible for all technology development and IT operations.
Speaking of the moves made, Philip Beck, Chairman and CEO of Ipsidy Inc. said “[t]his realignment will allow us to better leverage our strengths and approach the market faster. We are focusing our resources on the identity solutions we believe the marketplace is demanding, which we believe will drive growth in our business.”
