Miami-based Datapro, Inc. has signed on as a distributor of IdLok, Ipsidy’s biometric authentication platform. The financial services software provider will offer the solutions to its clients in the Latin American market.
More specifically, Datapro will offer the authentication solution as part of its e-IBS core banking software platform, subject to a definitive agreement to be hammered out between it and Ipsidy. In a statement announcing the partnership, Datapro CTO Javier Montero said that in offering IdLok to its clients, Datapro stands to “become an early leader in the Latin American market to utilize this technology,” adding that digital security and identity are “major issues” for the firm’s clients and for the financial services market more broadly.
The partnership comes after a pilot project in which Ipsidy’s solution was tested by Miami-based Intercredit Bank, N.A. IdLok is one of the numerous online authentication solutions designed to leverage the biometric capabilities now widely supported across the smartphone ecosystem to let under users confirm their identities on a mobile device. Ipsidy says the platform supports facial, finger, iris, and voice biometrics, as well as additional authentication features like digital signatures and device recognition.
