iProov has announced that its Dynamic Liveness technology achieved CEN/TS 18099 “High” and Ingenium Level 4 certification for injection-attack detection, while separately deploying Enhanced Passenger Processing with U.S. Customs and Border Protection at The New Terminal One at JFK Airport.
The company characterizes Dynamic Liveness as the first to reach the CEN/TS 18099 High and Ingenium Level 4 combination for defending against injection attacks, which include deepfakes and pre-recorded video presented to biometric systems. The certification announcement was published February 12.
The JFK announcement describes a CBP partnership to transform international arrivals for U.S. citizens through biometric processing at the new terminal. The deployment supports eligible travelers arriving internationally through Enhanced Passenger Processing workflows, which use facial biometrics to expedite identity verification and entry clearance.
The JFK announcement reinforces what first unfolded in Aruba, where Aruba Airport’s EPP launch with CBP and iProov already paired Dynamic Liveness with pre-clearance capabilities. The JFK EPP rollout continues the expansion described in iProov expands airport biometric deployments last August, which highlighted new integrations at overseas hubs.
The certification claims build on iProov meeting new NIST biometric verification requirements announced last November, which gave the firm a compliance credential for high-security government use cases. The Dynamic Liveness certification also ties to iProov’s MITRE ATLAS case study published in December, which documented how its red team hardened mobile KYC against video injection attacks.
The CEN/TS 18099 standard provides a framework for evaluating liveness detection systems, with “High” representing the most stringent conformance level. Ingenium Level 4 refers to testing methodology for injection attack detection, where attackers attempt to bypass biometric systems by injecting synthetic or pre-recorded video streams.
The New Terminal One project represents a major infrastructure investment at JFK, with the CBP partnership aiming to reduce wait times and improve the passenger experience for international arrivals. Enhanced Passenger Processing has been expanding across U.S. ports of entry as CBP modernizes border screening infrastructure.
