IOM Access200 Shows Princeton Identity’s Focus on Access Control

Princeton Identity has commercially launched a new iris-based access control solution: IOM Access200.

The company says its new wall-mounted unit can scan a user’s eyes in under a quarter of a second, allowing for fast, contactless biometric access control. It also features a touchscreen, and can be integrated with a card reader or a PIN pad for added security.

In a statement announcing the new solution, Princeton Identity highlighted its utility in environments such as “college and corporate campuses, critical infrastructures, correctional facilities, airports, data centers and more.”

The product’s launch comes just a few weeks after Princeton Identity announced the appointment of a new production manager for its Access200 product line, pointing to the company’s focus on access control solutions. IOM Access200 is Princeton Identity’s first product offering since the company spun off from SRI International in 2016.

The launch also arrives amid Physical Access and Enterprise Month at FindBiometrics, which will culminate in an expert webinar in which Princeton Identity will participate on April 25th. In the meantime, the company says it will showcase its new solution at the ISC West security expo, which runs from April 11th to 13th in Las Vegas.
