“The companies’ partnership reflects a broader trend underway around the world, as a growing number of businesses and other organizations opt for biometric time and attendance tracking.”
Inzenius is the latest human resources management solutions provider to embrace biometric technology for time and attendance tracking.
The company, which is focused on the Australia and New Zealand markets, has teamed up with V2verify, a voice authentication specialist based in Omaha. The latter says its voice recognition technology can identify a registered voice in two seconds or less, and that it also features a liveness detection capability that can differentiate between live voices and recordings.
In a statement announcing the partnership, Inzenius Innovation Leader Russell Bode said that V2verify’s technology will be used in forthcoming time clock products from his firm. “We are impressed with their user authentication and identity management solution; It supports our mission to be responsive to our customer’s ever-changing human capital requirements,” he said.
The companies’ partnership reflects a broader trend underway around the world, as a growing number of businesses and other organizations opt for biometric time and attendance tracking. The technology offers a means of reducing paperwork while also improving the reliability of employee tracking, and can be used to eliminate the practice of ‘buddy punching’ in which a given employee fraudulently clocks in for work on another’s behalf.
