Invixium Adds Mask Recognition to Biometric Platform

Invixium is upgrading its flagship IXM TITAN devices to improve their utility for people wearing masks. In that regard, the devices will be able to determine whether or not someone is wearing a mask, and identify those who are with facial recognition technology.

The improvements will arrive with the release of IXM WEB 2.2.40.0 and TITAN firmware version 2.4.40.0. The features are a response to COVID-19, which has encouraged the use of masks and increased the demand for contactless security solutions. The addition of mask recognition will allow venues to continue to use the IXM TITAN facial recognition terminal for access control while still adhering to the latest public health and safety guidelines.

To that end, organizations can configure the TITAN to bar entry to anyone who is not wearing a mask. The mask detection feature can be paired with tear duct temperature screening, which was introduced with an Enhancement Kit in the early stages of the pandemic.

The IXM WEB 2.2.40.0 update also comes with a new IXM Health monitoring feature, as well as a feature that allows organizations to assign multiple cards to a single user.
