Intellicheck has released an updated version of its flagship document and identity verification platform. The Intellicheck Platform 2.0 improves on its predecessor’s document and facial recognition capabilities, making the Platform compatible with a larger number of physical and digital identity documents from all over the world.
In that regard, Intellicheck’s solution can verify the authenticity of a wide array of driver’s licenses, passports, and national ID cards. The Platform is designed to help businesses meet their Know Your Customer obligations, so that they can feel more confident moving forward with a potential client knowing that that person is indeed who they claim to be. It also allows businesses to weed out high-risk customers that they would prefer not to work with.
According to Intellicheck, the enhanced Platform will minimize the threat of fraud across multiple channels. The company noted that fraud rates have increased in the past few years, and stressed that its solution can be used to perform identity checks during both in-person and online interactions. In the former instance, documents can be checked with a physical scanner. In the latter, they can be checked through a browser or with a mobile device. Intellicheck is able to use facial recognition to match a user to the image on an identity document thanks to a partnership with authID.ai (previously known as Ipsidy).
“Never has the need been greater for omnichannel digital and physical identity verification technology solutions to address the risks and challenges facing worldwide businesses from spiraling incidents of identity fraud that know no borders,” said Intellicheck CEO Bryan Lewis.
“Our clients are confident in our innovative best-in-breed solutions and that’s why many of our major clients are in production or currently integrating our enriched services.”
Intellicheck’s client list includes many of the world’s top banks and credit card issuers, as well as retail outlets and government agencies. The company provided identity verification services for DealerSafeGuardSolutionS back in 2020.
