“The announcement comes just ahead of the ID4Africa conference, in which Integrated Biometrics has participated since the conference’s launch in 2015.”
Integrated Biometrics is looking to strengthen its presence in the African market, announcing its first office located in South Africa.
The office will be headed by Integrated Biometrics founding partner Jim Seaborn, who has assumed the title of VP of Business Development for Africa and the Middle East. Robert Jones, a former Project Manager with biometrics specialist Idversol Integrated Solutions, has been appointed as Integrated Biometrics’ Sales Manager for the Africa region.
In announcing the company’s African branch, Integrated Biometrics asserted that it will serve to “respond to the growing need for mobile biometric enrollment and identification in the region’s financial services, healthcare, law enforcement and government sectors.” The company also framed the move as a response to “rapidly growing demand” for Integrated Biometrics’ FBI-certified fingerprint readers in particular, which have been embraced by law enforcement and border control authorities.
The announcement comes just ahead of the ID4Africa conference, in which Integrated Biometrics has participated since the conference’s launch in 2015. FindBiometrics will be reporting live from this year’s event, which is slated to run from June 18th to 20th in Johannesburg.
