Integrated Biometrics has signed up a new distribution partner for the Brazil market. Grupo Neoyama will offer stocking, training, and support services for clients in the country taking advantage of Integrated Biometrics’ fingerprint scanning devices.
The partnership fits into a broader trend that has seen numerous biometric security specialists focusing more on the Latin American market, with recent examples including ID3’s establishment of a new office in Colombia and ZKTeco’s new Mexico location. In a statement announcing the Grupo Neoyama deal, Integrated Biometrics CEO Stephen Thies explained that “Brazil is a tremendous, innovative market for identity management and it’s been a great sales opportunity for us,” adding that the Grupo Neoyama partnership offers his firm “a truly national presence that’s going to benefit our current and future reseller and integrator customers.”
For the latter’s part, Grupo Neoyama CEO praised Integrated Biometrics’ biometric scanners, asserting, “They work where other sensors don’t, they’re rugged and reliable, they’re compact, and they require very little power to operate.”
The companies say they will “inaugurate” their partnership with a biometrics education seminar to be held in São Paulo on February 20th.
