In partnership with its Slovakian compatriot Softec, Innovatrics has implemented its selfie onboarding technology in a new solution aimed specifically at telecommunications companies.
The solution, dubbed “NFINITY” is designed to help telcoms register customers using eSIM cards – next-generation SIM cards whose subscriptions can be managed remotely. Fittingly, NFINITY is meant to facilitate remote customer identity verification, ensuring that eSIM users don’t need to take their physical SIM cards into stores when making changes to their telecommunications subscriptions.
To that end, NFINITY functions in much the same way as the other selfie onboarding solutions that have been booming in popularity in recent years, especially in the financial services sector. An end user is asked to submit a selfie photo along with an image of their official ID (such as a driver’s license), and facial recognition technology is used to match the two together.
The biometric technology in this case was developed by Innovatrics, and the company has made strenuous efforts to ensure that its tech is state of the art. Just a couple of months ago, Innovatrics announced that its Digital Onboarding Toolkit – the core of the NFINITY onboarding solution – had been upgraded to enable it to read any document meeting the ICAO 9303 standard. The company went on two add two new algorithms to its Presentation Attack Detection solution, which backs up DOT’s security by watching for signs that a given end user is attempting to fool the biometric system with synthetic elements.
Softec says its new solution has already been embraced by multiple clients, including O2 Slovakia, whose Head of Segment Marketing, Kristián Baráti, was effusive in praise for NFINITY. “Thanks to NFINITY we managed to create one of the fastest and most streamlined eKYC onboarding processes in the world and successfully continued to challenge the status quo on the market,” he said.
NFINITY is the result of a longstanding collaboration between Innovatrics and Softec, with the two companies having worked together on a digital onboarding solution for Slovakian banking firm Tatra banka back in 2017.
“Thanks to our long-standing technological cooperation and many projects together, we were able to build and launch NFINTY.digital fully in the cloud, navigate the regulatory framework, and deploy it with major banks and telco providers in the SaaS mode,” commented NFINITY Product Owner Andrej Žinka in a statement announcing the solution.
