Innovatrics believes that the recent spike in remote activity will become permanent as more people come to appreciate the security and convenience benefits of biometric technologies. That will be particularly true at the government level, with Innovatrics suggesting that more state and public agencies will embrace biometrics in an effort to get rid of passwords.
In that regard, Innovatrics noted that people are already quite familiar with biometric authentication. Many modern smartphones support face or fingerprint recognition, and people are using both modalities to verify their identities when dealing with financial institutions. As many as 44 percent of consumers now list biometrics as their preferred authentication method, and that number is only going to grow as the technology becomes more widespread and major companies like Facebook deploy the technology across both web and mobile channels.
The fact that technology developers can customize their solutions for different use cases will further accelerate those digital transformations, since it ensures that each organization will have an access control system that meets their specific needs.
“We feel we are working on something useful because our products make people’s lives better,” said Innovatrics Integration Consultant Peter Molčány. “Our software can run on single-chip microcomputers and mobile phones, as well as scalable server environments. Regardless if it is an attendance system, remote registration of people, keeping records of electors, or another product, our task is to develop them.”
Innovatrics has previously provided remote onboarding services for government entities in Slovakia, and for various financial institutions in Latin America. The company’s Digital Onboarding Toolkit utilizes face and document recognition to verify the identities of new users.
