Incognia Celebrates SOC 2 Type II Certification

Incognia has cleared a major milestone and obtained Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II certification. The certification indicates that Incognia’s authentication technology meets certain compliance standards, and was awarded following the completion of an independent third-party evaluation.

For its part, Incognia is hoping that the certification will make its location-based authentication solution more appealing to potential customers. The company bills its platform as a ‘Zero-Factor Authentication‘ offering that analyzes a user’s movement patterns to assign a risk score to each interaction. Most logins occur at home or at another frequently-visited location like the office, so Incognia can automatically approve login requests that come from one of those trusted locations to deliver a frictionless authentication experience.

Incognia recently published a case study that showed how its technology produced a major fraud reduction for will bank. The company has since gone on to join the Outseer partner program, integrating its solution with the Outseer Beyond platform as part of that arrangement.
