“By increasing the number of options for biometric and non-biometric authentication methods, ImageWare gives users and organizations the ultimate in choice, flexibility, user assurance, and security.” – Jim Miller, CEO, ImageWare
ImageWare has upgraded its GoVerifyID platform, with enhancements for its GoVerifyID mobile app, GoMobile Interactive cloud solution, and GoVerifyID Enterprise Suite.
The platform now supports palm image recognition via biometric algorithms from Fujitsu. The new modality complements GoVerifyID’s existing support for facial, fingerprint, and voice recognition, allowing for extensive multimodal authentication capabilities. At the same time, ImageWare has enabled support for 6-digit PIN authentication for cases in which biometric authentication is not ideal or feasible.
In a statement announcing the upgrades, ImageWare CEO Jim Miller explained, “By increasing the number of options for biometric and non-biometric authentication methods, ImageWare gives users and organizations the ultimate in choice, flexibility, user assurance, and security.”
ImageWare has also added a Credential Provider feature for GoVerifyID Enterprise Suite, which “provides additional security features for Windows computers,” including support for devices supporting the Windows Biometric Framework, the company said. The enhanced compatibility with other enterprise systems arrives not long after the launch of GoVerifyID for IBM Security Access Manager this autumn.
