Imageware is taking its law enforcement portfolio to the Advance 2021 Conference organized by the California Peace Officers’ Association. The company is highlighting the updated version of its Imageware Capture solution, which is itself part of the broader Law Enforcement 2.0 platform. Law Enforcement 2.0 is currently in the beta phase.
The Advance Conference provides training for law enforcement organizations, and gives them an opportunity to see the latest innovations in police technology. In that regard, Imageware Capture is (as the name would suggest) a capture solution that offers support for multiple biometric modalities, including fingerprint, palm, face, and iris recognition. It can also be used to capture and record identifying characteristics like scars, marks, and tattoos.
The biometric data captured with the system can be stored locally in the cloud, with the cloud utility being the major addition with the 2.0 version of the Law Enforcement platform. The fact that Imageware Capture is cloud-ready means that it can be more easily deployed across a wider array of devices and workstations, which in turn gives law enforcement organizations more flexibility in their capture operations.
Imageware Capture is compatible with LiveScan stations, computer workstations, and handheld capture devices, and all of the data that gets run through the platform can be sent directly to state and federal biometric databases. Those transmissions are compliant with the Electronic Biometric Transmission Specification.
“We are excited to showcase our FirstNet Verified Authenticate solution in addition to our Imageware Law Enforcement Beta Platform with a full Live Scan kiosk,” said Imageware Product Management and Sales SVP AJ Naddell. “Built for law enforcement and public safety personnel, our products combine an easy-to-use booking system with market leading biometric authentication, making law enforcement and criminal data more secure and faster to capture.”
The Advance 2021 Conference is being held from September 20-22 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. Imageware has set up shop at Booth #40 during the event. The company is currently in the midst of a major strategic review, though it has credited its law enforcement business for driving revenue in the past few years.
