ImageWare has brought on Mark Blackman as the company’s new Vice President of Product Management. His appointment is effective as of May 29.
Blackman will bring more than 25 years of experience to the position. Much of that time was spent at Qualcomm, where he helped set the product strategy for the company’s BREW mobile app store. He also worked in a leadership capacity with Qualcomm Internet Services and the Qualcomm Technology Licensing Division.
“Mark brings a track record of technical leadership with a bent towards materializing revenue,” said ImageWare CEO Kristin Taylor. “His expertise with engineering, marketing and sales teams, makes him the best choice to lead our product management function to drive shareholder value in the fast growing biometrics market.”
“I am honored to be part of ImageWare and look forward to working with the team to bring biometric identity solutions to governments, businesses, and individuals,” added Blackman.
Blackman is one of several major ImageWare hires in the past few months. Jonathan Morris signed on as the company’s new CFO in May, while Taylor officially took over as the new CEO in March. Taylor has also secured a position on the ImageWare Board of Directors as of May 26.
