ImageWare is expanding its executive team through the creation of the new position of Vice President of Go-To-Market and Portfolio Strategy. AJ Naddell has been hired to fill the role, with his appointment being effective as of January 18.
At ImageWare, Naddell will be asked to generate revenue through the creation and delivery of market programs that help meet the needs of ImageWare customers. He joins the company following a three-year stint at IBM, where he held the title of Program Director of Product Management-AI Applications and helped modernize a 30-year-old portfolio. In one instance, he also moved a product from ideation to launch in less than 90 days, and secured IBM’s first customer for that product a scant 15 days later.
Before joining IBM, Naddell oversaw Sales and Business Development in North America for the Chinese electronic truck maker BYD. His overall skill set includes product design and management, marketing, sales, and customer fulfillment.
“AJ will work closely with Engineering, Product Management and Sales,” said ImageWare President and CEO Kristin Taylor. “AJ and his team have already begun to develop key messaging and sales collateral in preparation of our successful launch of enterprise products into the market on February 1, 2021. He will then shift his focus to Law Enforcement/Public Safety, and towards the end of the year, turn to our biometric smart badge technology.”
“I’m excited by the value and market potential of ImageWare’s biometric authentication and identification technology,” added Naddell. “Cybersecurity is a hugely important sector, and the opportunity to drive market success is the next challenge I look forward to conquering.”
Naddell’s hiring comes only a few short weeks after ImageWare brought on Jay Lewis as its new CFO. The company previously partnered with ipCapital in an effort to create a new IP licensing program for its biometric technology.
