Enterprise biometrics specialist ImageWare has announced the appointment of a new VP of Engineering, with Sudheer Koganti having taken the position on June 22.
The appointment comes amid a larger shift to new leadership at the executive level, with ImageWare embarking on a major organizational transformation. The company appointed Kristin Taylor as its new CEO in February, and announced a new CFO and a VP of Product Management over the last couple of months.
Like Taylor, Koganti has senior experience from Qualcomm, where he served as Senior Staff Engineer from 1997 to 2008, and as Qualcomm Innovation Center’s Director of Engineering from 2009 to 2019. In announcing his appointment with ImageWare, the company highlighted his pioneering efforts on Qualcomm’s Eudora email products, OS design for its BREW development platform, and his work on Qualcomm Wireless Edge Services, among other achievements.
“Sudheer has a knack for developing products that resonate with the marketplace and he continues to be an avid developer,” commented Taylor. “He is keenly focused on finetuning existing products and creating new platforms. He enjoys system optimization, operational efficiency and loves to teach others how to solve complicated problems.”
For his part, Koganti seemed to acknowledge the ambitious plans of ImageWare’s new leadership. “I am super excited to join ImageWare and ready for the challenge to take industry-leading Identity Platform and GoVerifyID suite to the next level of security, scalability and ease of use,” he said.
