iiDENTIFii, a biometric technology company based in Cape Town, has now brought its tech to the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, extending its availability to a broader audience.
The Microsoft Azure Marketplace is an online store that offers a wide range of software applications and services designed to work on the Azure cloud platform. It provides solutions from Microsoft and its partners, allowing businesses to find, purchase, and deploy these applications directly on Azure.
Founded in 2018 by CEO Gur Geva, iiDENTIFii specializes in facial recognition technology with 3D liveness detection to ensure secure and efficient identity verification. This technology is designed to prevent fraud, including deepfake and digital replay attacks, and is used by major banks, financial institutions, telecommunications companies, and governments globally.
The company has received several awards, including the MTN App of the Year for Enterprise and KPMG Tech Innovator of the Year.
Earlier this year, iiDENTIFii entered into a distribution agreement with Tarsus Distribution. The partnership aimed to bring iiDENTIFii’s identity verification solutions, particularly their facial authentication technology, to the African market. iiDENTIFii’s tech is noted for its effectiveness in recognizing individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, which is crucial in the African context.
iiDENTIFii has also been recognized in the Prism Financial Services Report, where it received Luminary Status. This indicates that iiDENTIFii is seen as a significant player in the financial services sector, particularly in the context of digital identity and biometrics.
