IDnow is boasting about its phenomenal growth numbers in the UK. The German identity verification provider opened offices in London last November, and followed that up with a second location in Manchester several months later. The company now has a total of 10 employees in the UK after adding a new Sales Manager, a new Account Manager, and a new Director of Customer Excellence to its roster.
According to IDnow, the new hires will help the company meet the skyrocketing demand for its identity verification products. It indicated that order intakes are up a whopping 1400 percent, thanks in large part to the rise of the remote work environment in the wake of COVID-19.
“In the face of a continuing global pandemic, digital solutions are needed now more than ever before,” said IDnow UK Sales Head Roger Tyrzyk. “We are seeing increasing demand for our products and services as businesses seek ways to deliver a safe and secure online experience for their customers from a trusted partner.”
IDnow’s volume of non-outbound enquiries also went up 249 percent over the past 12 months. The company previously reported a 1,000 percent increase in the number of selfie authentication requests during transactions on its AutoIdent platform.
“We see the UK as a key market for achieving our overall global expansion plans, and as such, are investing heavily in our people, products and services,” added Tyrzyk. “Our team will enable us to deliver our ambitious plans to become a leading identity verification player, both here in the UK and worldwide.”
Tyrzyk went on to confirm that IDnow is in the process of becoming a Limited company in the UK. IDnow has discussed the possibility of COVID-19 immunity credentials with the British government, and later signed an agreement to acquire Wirecard Communication Services from the larger Wirecard Group. The company added approximately 150 new employees in Germany through the acquisition.
