New IDmission Biometric Access Control Solution Aimed at Large-scale Facilities

IDmission has released a new access control solution for large-scale facilities like hospitals, airports, and government buildings. The Identity Management System (IDMS) will allow those venues to enable two-factor and biometric authentication without needing to purchase or deploy any additional verification hardware.

IDMS can be used in conjunction with traditional access control technologies like key cards and PIN pads, or it can be used to replace those legacy systems entirely. The setup will prevent the sharing of badges and passwords at secure sites, with a backend that keeps a record of access events and makes it easy to onboard and manage a large number of employee identities.

“As biometric technology continues to grow as a reliable authentication medium, there is an urgency for fast, reliable, and more secure verification of employees accessing secure locations and systems,” said IDmission CEO Ashim Banerjee. “We have engineered an end-to-end solution that is easy to implement and does not require replacing your entire infrastructure.” 

The multimodal IDmission portfolio supports face, fingerprint, voice, and iris biometrics, all of which are enhanced with passive liveness detection. That liveness detection technology received ISO 30107-3 certification from iBeta back in June. IDmission also brought on a new Chief Revenue Officer at that time.
