The biometric identity verification specialist IDmission has officially received ISO 27001 certification. The distinction speaks to the company’s data management capabilities, and indicates that IDmission is taking all of the necessary precautions to protect the information of the people registered with its system.
IDmission is best known for its facial recognition technology, which has been used for everything from remote onboarding to physical access control. The company’s solution is backed up with passive liveness detection technology that has received ISO/IEC 30107-3 certification and passed the second level of iBeta’s Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) test.
“As a global leader in identity verification, we are committed to the protection of consumer data and ongoing risk management,” said IDmission CEO Ashim Banerjee. “We are proud that IDmission is now one of only a handful of organizations in the identity verification space to achieve this certification.”
IDmission is based in Colorado, with additional facilities in Arizona, India, and Mexico. The ISO certification covers the company’s end-to-end data protection practices at all four locations. The company is one of several that has achieved ISO 27001 certification in the past few months, and joins a list that already includes major players like Suprema, Veratad, and Cerence.
