A new LG smartphone is taking advantage of biometric technology from IDEX. The LG Stylo 2 V features the company’s Cardinal Q fingerprint sensor.
It’s a sequel device to the Stylus 2 Plus smartphone announced this past summer, which also featured a Cardinal Q sensor. In a statement announcing the latest integration, the company noted that the smartphone model has been produced for the US-based carrier Verizon Wireless, with IDEX CEO Dr. Hemant Mardia proclaiming that it “continues our sales momentum in the mobile market.”
The company also recently inked a deal with an unnamed China-based OEM for the integration of its Cardinal sensor technology into a mobile device planned for next year. The LG Stylo 2 V, meanwhile, went on sale today.
