Norway-based fingerprint biometrics specialist IDEX is aiming to make a splash at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, where it will not only show off its technological solutions but also look for new partners and investors.
In a statement announcing its participating in the this week’s event, IDEX said it will showcase an ISO-ID1 smart card solution, and other sensors designed for applications in mobile devices and the Internet of Things. Meanwhile, CEO Hemant Mardia and CFO Henrik Knudtzon plan to meet with partners and investors at the Venetian Hotel, and are still welcoming interested parties to get in touch via email.
The company may place a particular emphasis on smart cards in the wake of Trustech 2016, where it reported “massive interest” in its biometric solutions in this area. But its technologies have a range of applications and its sensors have been integrated into multiple consumer devices, too, which should help to broaden its appeal during the show.
